From 1985 to 1993 Tim and Danny Carter along with drummer "Stormin'" Norman Allred, bassist Mark Vernon and rhythm guitarist/vocalist Johnny Green toured together as the Carter Brothers Band. Averaging around 225 shows a year they traveled from North Carolina to New York City, from Western Canada to Key West, Florida and points between as well as Europe. They were particularly well known for their unique 4-5 part harmonies not to mention their groundbreaking bluegrass/rock sound. You will hear a lot more of Dannys amped~up electric 6 and 12 string guitar playing(along with some acoustic flatpicking) here. Danny and Johnny share lead vocal duties just as they did in the past. This version of the CBB recorded only one album in their 8 year existence which was released in Europe in 1989. Although they disbanded in 1993 they remain very close friends and still get together a few times a year to play shows locally in North Carolina..."REACH" is a collection of what are considered Carter Bros. favorites from that era along with a couple of newer tunes just to keep things spicy! The album was recorded 'almost live' in the summer of 2004 at the Bros "TreeHouse" studio at their home in Nashville....Hope you enjoy!
